Creative Writing Contest

As we celebrate Asian Heritage Month in May 2023, Nova Noble Cause Society is delighted to announce the Creative Writing Contest on Folk Tales for Nova Scotian students in grades 6-12.

We invite all the students to participate and showcase their writing skills while learning about the rich culture of Asia.

The contest aims to promote the values of acceptance and inclusivity that Canada proudly stand for. To enter, students can choose their favorite Folk Tale from Asian culture and retell it in their own words, adding their own twists and interpretations.

The best entry will be awarded with a cash prize and certificate, and the runners-up will receive a trophy. All the participants will receive a digital certificate.

The award ceremony will take place on May 27th, 2023 at the Halifax Central Library.

Entries could be submitted via email to info@nncs.ca by May 22nd, 2023.

Let's celebrate the diversity of our community and promote cultural awareness through creative writing!
